The Touched grieved after losing one of their own. It was an especially sad affair for Inspector Mundi, who had a history with the departed. This man just cannot get a break, I wonder how long before he snaps. An unseen benefactor attempted to provoke the Orphanage into an act of aggression. Since their ranks have increased, the citizens of London have gotten more paranoid of an uprising.

This episode, titled Undertaking, was full of surprises. Manipulation, betrayal, and some well-needed character development for Amalia, who hasn’t changed much since the show started. I’m tired of hearing about her days as a soldier and being left behind. Other characters in the Orphanage worked to uncover a secret left in Mary Brighton’s song. This pushed the plot to a whole nutha’ level.

Amalia and the rest of the team spread out to investigate a potential threat. I loved the suspense and atmosphere of mistrust that was present. I’m starting to see how the resolve of all the key players is being tested. There were surprising reveals, but I left with more questions than answers. I give this one a 6.5 out of 10.
