Terrifier 2 is the most disgusting film to date. The creator, Damien Leone, pushes the boundaries of discomfort and violence in horror. Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) earns his place as the slasher icon of this generation. He is a sadistic serial killer who fixates on random victims, stalking them before murdering them in the most barbaric way possible. Oh no, it gets worse. Art mutilates the corpses beyond recognition and displays them in poses like a child would a toy.

There are reports of movie goers walking out of the theater and vomiting at screenings of Terrifier 2. The story takes place after the events of the first film, Terrifier, where Art is dead on a morgue table. A demonic entity resurrects him, imbuing the mute clown with supernatural abilities. He stalks a teenager named Sienna (Lauren LaVera), torturing her in her dreams as well as the real world. Art the Clown is wicked in his pursuit, taking no prisoners.

His pattern of victims is random and the way in which he destroys the human anatomy is sickening. Mortal Kombat fatalities can’t hold a candle to the gruesome carnage Art the Clown displays. Sienna’s relationship with her family is strained since the death of her father. The story shows how this relationship is tested and why Art the Clown is relentless in his pursuit. Terrifier 2 has so much blood, body horror, and dark humor.

The images in Terrifier 2 are haunting! The atmosphere of the movie is pure dread with a well-suited soundtrack. Hardcore fans of the horror genre can rejoice, casual viewers beware. This is not for the faint of heart and should not be seen in a home where children could happen upon it. Terrifier 2 redefines the definition of the evil slasher, setting a new standard worthy of an 8.5 out of 10.
