Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) Review

Last night I got the opportunity to view an early screening of Kingsman: The Golden Circle. It’s a sequel to the 2014 hit Kingsman: The Secret Service. Both directed by Matthew Vaughn. I highly recommend it. This film is a hardcore, James Bond-esque, smash mouth joy ride! It’s a lot of fun. The plot although simple is executed with style. It’s a violent action flick that will make you laugh.

Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, among others all deliver amazing performances. There’s also a famous musician in the film that I did not expect. He has tremendous comedic chops. That’s all I have to say about that. You may find it surprising the bits of social commentary present in the movie. It was almost subtle how they threw those elements in.

The one-liners in this thing are downright hilarious. Kingsman is a parody of itself in a way. Which makes it that more easy to enjoy despite the moments of drama. Visually it’s a beautiful film with lots of bold colors and locations. It’s a great adaptation of a comic book property. I highly recommend you check this out when it releases Friday. Kingsman: The Golden Circle gets an 8 out of 10.
