This film holds a special place in my heart. It is one I watched with my late grandmother. She allowed me (fell asleep) to watch a bunch of crazy movies when I was a child. Death Becomes Her was one of them. It has such strong imagery and reminds me of The Addams Family.
Two women, (Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn) compete for the love of a male doctor (Bruce Willis). It is the strangest darn thing a child or adult could see. The theme of the story is vanity. Bad decisions were made, and the characters paid the price to “look” young and beautiful.
I really enjoyed how goofy and timeless the story is. To this day, people are still abusing body modifications for sex appeal. This movie takes it to the extreme. It’s an entertaining movie to view while cooking or waiting for the fast food to arrive. Death Becomes Her gets a 5.5 out of 10.
