The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020) Review

I am a stan for werewolf movies. There’s something I find fascinating about the deadly creatures. In The Wolf of Snow Hollow, a town is terrorized by a series of brutal murders every full moon. Officer Marshall (Jim Cummings) is charged with finding the culprit while battling with his belief in the supernatural. It’s a nice who-done-it mystery chalked full of humor and graphic displays of carnage.

Jim Cummings is a man that wears many hats. He is the writer, director, and star of this B-rated monster movie. The guy is a freak of nature, he goes between tormented drunk and vulnerable family man so easily. It’s really a character study of a flawed human being. There are so many misleads in the movie you’ll never guess who the baddy is. Well, I didn’t lol.

The balance of tone is a little strange. One minute I’m watching Se7en and next thing you know it’s a comedy romance. I found myself questioning if there was an actual werewolf or a bunch of serial killers. In that regard, the movie succeeded in putting me in the shoes of the protagonist. This is a hidden gem you should check out. I give The Wolf of Snow Hollow a 7.5 out of 10.
