The Good Boys (2019) Review

Well hello movie goers! Took a bit of a break but I’m back. Here with a review for one of the most raunchy, hilarious, gut-wrenching comedies of the year. The Good Boys will have your eyes watering from laughter. It was great watching it with a theater audience. Definitely one you should go see, but leave the kids at home. This is a hard R-rating.

The film stars three kids, Max (Jacob Tremblay), Lucas (Keith L. Williams), and Thor (Brady Noon) who embark on a journey of epic proportion to attend a house party. For these kids, it’s a pretty big deal. They engage in all types of shenanigans and wildly inappropriate behavior along the way. Which is the life of the film.

Everything the kids do is rooted in naivety. We’ve all been at that point in our lives where we think we know how the world works. That’s what makes this film a heartfelt coming of age story. There are loads of F-bombs and the chemistry among these child actors are superb. It’s worth multiple viewings with all the jokes being shot at you so rapidly. I give The Good Boys a well-earned 10 out of 10.
