The Falcon & Winter Soldier – Episode 3

Shit got real in “Power Broker.” The Flag Smashers managed to evade the heroes and stay off the radar. Sam, Bucky, and Johnny Walker don’t get no leads and still delirious from the beat down they got last week. In an act of desperation and stupidity, Bucky visited an incarcerated villain for answers. Because you know, nothing bad could happen right?

We learned more about the Flag Smashers and why their movement is picking up traction. Their intentions seem good, but their methods are a little extreme sometimes. It would be nice if they were given more dialogue or scenes. The leader, Karli Morgenthau (Erin Kellyman) referenced “the way things were before the Blip.” Not sure what that means. Maybe Thanos was right? I’m curious if insurance companies want them life insurance policies paid back from all the folks that popped back up.

An unlikely alliance was formed with Baron Zemo, the mastermind that orchestrated the death of King T’Chaka in Captain America: Civil War. Why all the villains have the best fashion sense. Buddy was lookin’ clean as hell. Bootleg Capt. America, I mean Johnny Walker and Battle Star on their bumpers. Walker was in his feelings and his mans tried to calm him down, like you can’t be raging out bro, you supposed to be all patriotic in these streets.

The trio go all 007 in an attempt to infiltrate the criminal nation of Madripoor. An island with ties to the X-MEN comics. I loved the atmosphere of this place. It’s as if they took the world of John Wick and placed it in the MCU. As one would expect, covers were blown, henchmen got hoed by the Winter Soldier, and the mystery behind the super soldier serum is uncovered. This might be the best episode yet. I give it a 9 out of 10.
