Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) Review

Finally got around to doing this review. I saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi and wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first. After sitting with my thoughts, I’ve come to the conclusion that this movie is pretty stellar. It was a very enjoyable story that stood on it’s own. The story was compelling and one that reflects humanity.  I daresay it’s a commentary of our current social political climate.

An oppressive and wealthy regime seeking to destroy everyone else lol. Yes I put laughing out loud in my review. The Last Jedi cast is star studded as usual. Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boeyga, Oscar Isaac, and many more. There were a lot of questions posed in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Some of them were answered while others were simply ignored. The greatest element of this story is the character development. As well as the exploration of “force” lore.

The feats performed by the characters who are force sensitive were amazing. There were call backs to past films in the franchise. I noticed this particular installment made some bold choices that moved the entire narrative forward. Providing a clean slate in the Star Wars universe. The action and visuals are jaw dropping as one would expect. This may be one of my favorite movies yet. Star Wars: The Last Jedi gets a 9 out of 10.
