Someone with a nose full of cocaine when they green lit this movie. To add insult to injury, the sequel only took six years. It pissed me off with its poor quality and convoluted plot. The blind man, Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang), returned to do fatalities on home invaders. Its basically the same formula yet they managed to screw up every single aspect of the character. Don’t get me wrong, he is still a creepy, murderous, old man.

The difference is how he’s presented. A random character is thrown in that he trusted to show “his little girl” the town, yet we aren’t given an explanation or shown their history. I’m supposed to believe this dangerous recluse has social skills. Especially after the shit he pulled in the first film, no way. I couldn’t root for this guy if I wanted to. Even with the addition of more scumbags, it’s a hard sell that remained on the shelf.

Watching crap like this, is inspirational. I say to myself, “If this script made it to the big screen, I have a great future as a writer.” The only redeeming quality the story possessed is gore and violence. Certain scenes downright made me cringe. Norman tore them guys up but took a few L’s of his own. Imagine the movie Taken in an impoverished neighborhood where ex-military psychopaths lurk. I give Don’t Breathe 2 gets a 4.5 out of 10.
